The series of works called ‘Spielzeuge’ were created within the framework of the Erasmus+ Program in 2015 and 2016 in Leipzig, at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst. They examine themes of travel, home, and public space, balancing between dimensions of private and common. Every piece is produced with simplicity, portability, and approachability in mind as a kind of ‘arte povera’ or ‘arte modesta’ statement. Some of the works include experiments with UTOPLAST, the upcycled material used in many other works of mine. The title ‘Toys’ refers to the experimental and low-tech character of the works. 6 of the 7 works were revisited in Budapest for the doctoral exhibition.
