#nfcdab is a DIY or DIWO [DO IT WITH OTHER]? A digital art biennial that uses wireless technologies, light waves and electromagnetic fields, such as Wi-Fi routers, QR codes or NFC tags to access content. The idea behind the biennial is to use the potential of short-range (mis)communication[sic!] and other sharing technologies to disseminate digital art via the Internet. The show is possible anywhere on users’ phone screens and does not require the framework of galleries and institutions.
In the 2024 Wroclaw and Amsterdam editions, I participated with the Webmachine.
