doctoral ‘masterpiece’ exhibition, Labor gallery, Budapest, 2017
The works on display were created within the framework of the Erasmus+ Progamme in 2015 and ’16 in Leipzig, at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst. They examine themes of travel, home and public space, balancing between dimenstions of private and common. Every piece is produced with simplicity, portability and approachability in mind as a kind of ‘arte povera’ or ‘arte modesta’ statement. Some of the works include experiments with UTOPLAST, the upcycled material used in many other works of mine. The title ‘Toys’ refers to the experimental and low-tech character of the works.
